The land of corn, bumpy roads, and rolling hills

Well, to say the least, we have covered some miles. We left Park City, Montana on Wednesday morning and we are now on Missouri, heading towards St. Louis. Unfortunately, there hasn't been many stops for us along the way. We have couldn't believe how long the Yellowstone River was and that isn't going to compare to the Great Mississippi. We have made adjustments along the way, as you will be able to tell by our highlighted map pictures. I make judgments, as the navigator, but the pilot doesn't like too many interchanges, so adjustments are made to take the simplest way. We have crossed the Mississippi River twice due to our recalculations. We have found that our Navigational system takes us on some crazy back roads because it is the "fastest route."

We have seen some beautiful country along the way and the people are so friendly. I personally have noticed how the men are more gentlemanly- opening doors, saying 'Ma'am' and things like that. It is refreshing.

Mike always wonders where I am when I go into a store at gas stations. Well, I am visiting with people. Can you imagine that?

Minnesota and North Dakota were taking advantage of the summer because they were doing road construction across both States. I didn't realize that it was possible to have so much of Freeways under construction. The "good" roads were very bumpy. (See the video below.) Pretty funny.

Iowa was the State of corn, Silos and watertowers (literally for every town).

It's so fun to hear from so many of you as you enjoy this adventure with us. 💗
