Montana into North Dakota

We stayed with our friends, the Utters, through Wednesday morning (8/21). We were so blessed by their hospitality. Jamie was a little bummed when we were leaving, because Ruth made some delicious dishes for Breakfast and Dinner. We were spoiled! We were sent on our way with fresh veggies from their garden, fresh eggs from their chickens, and homemade chocolate chip cookies.

I have to say that we had wonderful time visiting with them.

Lacey Utter is working on getting her commercial pilot's license and she took us up into the Big Skies over Montana on Tuesday evening. This girl was such a pleasure to be around. We are trying to talk her into moving to Alaska with us, so we can have our own personal pilot.

Here are some pictures from our flight.

Mike got to fly the plane for about 10 minutes
under Lacey's guidance of course.

Then we traveled  along I-94 to North Dakota. We were trying to get some miles under our tires. When we crossed the border into North Dakota,  we went to the town of Medora and into the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It was beautiful but I believe that you would have to spend some time in the Park to get the full effect. There were wild horses, groundhogs, and Bison roam freely in the park.
