How can we be so busy??

The title of the post makes me sound ungrateful and frustrated. but I'm not. We have enjoyed some great memories with family and friends both.

We got home on Friday.

Saturday, We took some time doing some cleaning and laundry.  Then we went to our friends, Bill and Crystal Harkness' for a BBQ. We took over some T-bones from the last cow that we slaughtered in February.  Yum!

Sunday, we got to worship with our church family and then we traveled down to Fairfield and had dinner with Jerod's Grandparents. Kelly and Killian were already down there. We then took Kelly and Killian to the San Francisco Zoo on Monday.

We came home on Tuesday. I had a couple of Doctors appointments in Reno on Wednesday.
Thursday was a blur.  I truly do not remember what we did.

Friday, we went to Antelope Lake to go kayaking. Love that lake. We like to put in at Lunker's Landing and paddle past Long Point Campground.  It is so peaceful out on the lake, watching birds, looking for wildlife along the shores, and watching in the weeds for fish.

Saturday, August 3rd, we had a Birthday party for Killian. It's unbelievable that he is now 4. The theme was PJ Masks. Everyone got a cape and a mask as their party favor. Kelly had some fun bribing Jacob Loubet to wear a pink cape and a mask, and having him run through the other parties that were there.  He did it. Crazy kid! Towards the end of the party, most everyone got into an unripened plum fight. Those things hurt! The plum fight ended up in a water fight.  That was only the teens and the adults. I'm glad that My Mom could come. This will most likely the last Birthday party she gets to go to for Killian because the Ellis' are moving to Colorado to their permanent duty station during the end of August.

The next Monday, Mike took Killian swimming in the County pool. Killian did very well with his little life jacket on. He then came to our house to stay the night. We thought we would give Kelly some time to pack by herself.

Mike is planning on his last motorcycle trip with the guys starting on Friday. It is a sad thought for him that he won't get to go on annual motorcycle trips with their  club, The Mangy Dogs. (That's what we call them anyway.)

The next weekend we will be pulling out of Days End RV Park that has been our home since the end of March. We are planning on staying in Reno on the 16th, because Jerod is flying home after his graduation from AIT to move his family to Colorado Springs. I am so glad that their family will get to be together. Killian acts like he doesn't miss his Daddy, but we know that he does.

After that weekend, we have plans to head back up into Montana to visit our friends, Jamie and Ruth Utter and family. Then the big trip will begin. We are expecting to be on the road for 2-3 months. We are excited about starting this adventure.

I will post on this blog as we travel across the Country.
