First, I will tell you about our trip yesterday. We traveled to New York from New Jersey. We caught a train going into the city. FrombPenn Station we rode the subway to the 9/11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan.
We started our touring day by going to 1 World trade Center which is the new Freedom Tower. We rode to the top and went to the Observation deck at the top. We were able to see the city and got our bearings. Even after looking at maps where everything is located just didn't click until we were looking over all of it.
We learned that the "city" of New York is comprised of 5 boroughs - Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Staten Island. We learned the locations of the 3 major bridges between The islands. It is amazing that 2.2 million people live in the borough of Manhattan, which is 22 square miles. It grows to 3 million during the work day. Mike and I figured it out. That is 100,000 people per square mile.
Enjoy the photo below and check out what we saw.
