We went right to the ocean once we got settled into camp. We took a walk because we were curious about the sand and the beach. It is different here compared to the Pacific Ocean. There aren't any sand fleas, drift wood or bullwip kelp which I mentioned in a previous post. This beach in particular was covered with shells and white sand. Most of the shells were broken but not all of them. It was interesting to see how thick these shells were compared to those we have seen along the Pacific.
The next morning, Mike was able to catch the sunrise on the beach. I was sleeping in.
That same day, we went to Murrell Inlet and went Kayaking. I was so nervous about getting into any water that was connected to the Atlantic because of sharks. The week before we arrived, two sharks were right off Myrtle Beach. But we had a good day on the water. We missed our own kayaks though because their's were so uncomfortable. They were unpadded, short and didn't have adjustable foot pegs. We ended up quitting earlier than was planned because we were both in pain. We saw 100s of fish that were jumping, pelicans, egrets, and Great Blue Herons. The houses along the inlet were huge.
After our Kayak trip, we came back to camp and we actually went body surfing on the waves at our beach.
We then went to dinner at Crabby Mike's Seafood Buffet. It was a busy place, but we missed the influx of Biker traffic. We then went home and went to the beach again for the sunset. We sat on the beach until dark and then went back to the trailer.
On Friday, we started heading through Georgia and into Florida. We camped in Jenning, Florida. We plan on heading to Key Largo and Everglades National Park tomorrow.

We traveled a Highway that had a section that was about 20 miles long that had so many basket artists. The road had booths built along it that were about 100 feet apart.
Many long bridges over various water ways
We made it to Florida!
